This joint presentation with the ARMA Triangle and ARMA Madison Chapters aims to introduce some RIM steps and considerations that will make the prospect of litigation a bit less stressful. Zasio consultants Jennifer Chadband and Richard Surber will share insights on RIM implications for discovery and litigation holds, including engaging key players and planning ahead for success.

About The Speakers:

Rick Surber

Rick Surber, CRM, IGP – Rick is a Senior Analyst and Licensed Attorney at Zasio and co-manager of the Consulting Division. He also manages Zasio’s Legal Research Division. Rick has helps clients ease records and information management (RIM) pain points, focusing on RIM program enhancement/development. This includes policy work, like Records Retention Schedule (RRS) development, simplification, maintenance, and compliance. It also includes strategizing about RIM’s role in Information Governance (IG), and how to build cohesion between other IG stakeholders like Legal, Privacy, IT, and Risk/Compliance.

Jennifer Chadband

Jennifer Chadband, JD, CRM, IGP, ECMP – Jennifer has extensive experience in a variety of RIM/IG areas, including corporate retention schedule development, with a focus on legal, operational compliance, and risk minimization. Her expertise in records and information management in the pharmaceutical and financial services industries is an invaluable asset to the Consulting team. Jennifer also brings broad knowledge and understanding of relevant domestic and international laws, including recordkeeping-related privacy laws as they apply to client industries.
